Don’t Panic!

If you have recently included personal identity information in an email, simply keep an eye on your accounts for ususual activity (and prepare for a lot of “spam” email).

If this was a long time ago and you haven’t noticed any unusual activity in your accounts, consider yourself lucky even though you probably get a lot of “spam.”

In either case, it is a good idea to contact the person you sent private information to and make sure they have deleted that email. NOW…

What is Spam?

Spam email is unsolicited junk email by those who are seeking money, personal information, or your computer
