THE “FAKE INVOICE” SCAM:
The most popular phishing scam out there is the “fake invoice” email.
Like many phishing attacks, this scam relies on fear and urgency, pressuring you to submit a payment for goods or services you’ve never even ordered or received.
If you think you might have an outstanding payment due to someone, go directly to their website with your browser app for information. Never tap on a link in an unexpected email.
